Nerchio — the best player WESG StarCraft2 EU + CIS

Regional finals WESG among the European players in StarCraft 2 is over. In the crucial part of the contest were participating 20 players, while eight of them secured slots in the WESG Global Grand Finals with a total prize fund of¥24 650 000 (~ $3 700 000).

 

 

The semifinals ficked off with a clash between Beastyqt and Nerchio. The Polish player overwhelmed the rival with a score of [3:1], thus being granted with a place in the Grand-finals of WESG Europe+CIS. In the following semi-final match were competing Namshar and Elazer. Elazer prevailed over his opponent with an advantage in two rounds [3:1] and advanced to the PlayOffs.

 

Then Beastyqt faced off against Namshar in the third-place decider match, where with a score of [3:2] the victory was secured by the Serbian player.

 

In the Grand-finals we've witnessed a battle between two Polish players — Nerchio and Elazer. As a result, Nerchio prevailed over his rival [4:1] and became the champion of WESG Europe+CIS.

 

The final outcome and the LAN-finals' prize pool distribution at WESG HS EU+CIS looks as follows:

 

- 1st place (Nerchio): ¥80,000 (~$12,000)

- 2nd place (Elazer):¥40,000 (~$6,000)

- 3rd place (Beastyqt): ¥20,000 (~$3,000)

- 4th place (Namshar): ¥10,000 (~$1,500)

- 5-8th places (DeMusliM, ShoWTimE, Harstem, MarineLorD): ¥8,000 (~$1,200)

 

We'd like to remind you that these eight teams will go ahead to the WESG Global Grand Finals, where they will defend their countries' honour.
